Do I need a certificate for my/any electrical work carried out?
Yes, the Electrical Regulations state. “BS 7671 (the IET Wiring Regulations) makes the provision of appropriate certification a fundamental principle of any electrical installation work. This documentation provides a formal statement that the work is safe and compliant with the national standard”.
How do I know that the Electrician is properly qualified and a competent person?

​Can I pay for my electrical work with cash?
Yes, cash payment is perfectly acceptable and should not affect invoicing or certification if the rules regarding money laundering and VAT are followed. ​Can I carry out electrical work myself on my own property?
We do offer 3 rd Party Certification through our Competent Persons provider, NAPIT, and can discuss this with you at the planning stage of any work; We cannot sign off other persons work unless this process has been followed from the start, please contact us for further guidance, contact us on 07949 389604 or email peter@mkelectricians.com.
Is our work guaranteed?
All our work carries a 6-year guarantee which is backed up by NAPIT. This means that you can rest easy knowing that the electrical work will be the very best quality. I have noticed that your website is not at the top of the search engines, why is this?
We have recently re-launched the company, MK Electricians, from the previous Fearnside Electrical Works and have always relied on “word-of-mouth” due to our excellent reputation from our customers. We could pay a lot of money to the web providers and elevate our position, but this would mean that we would have to pass the costs on to you, the customer, and this is contradicting our family run business philosophy of fairness and trust.
